Thank you lovely lady, that’s kind -- especially from you, whose words and noticings are beautiful, insightful, and linger long after I finish reading x
What shape is life? Surely a spiral. And also, maybe, that’s the shape of a book too. A returning to places and people and questions as the narrative unfurls and winds.
Ooo yes, a spiral. Thanks! I recently read Jeff Chu's book Good Soil, and at the outset he explains that he writes in the shape of Chinese storytelling, which often circles its subject again and again rather than follow neat lines like Western storytelling often does. I found this helpful. Thanks for your comment Sarah.
Always so grateful for your insight and humbled by your kind words about my little 'stack 💚🌬️

I really enjoyed The North Road - one I'll be returning to I think. I enjoyed your husband's piece too btw - thanks for sharing.
Thanks Shelly - yes I’ll be returning to The North Road too. And I’m glad you like Jake’s piece 😊
